By public transportation:
the Pisa airport, and to a lesser extent the Firenze airport, are served by several domestic and international
flights. In addition, regular train service is available to both cities and to Empoli
. San Miniato, to be precise San Miniato-Alta, is very close to Empoli, and "I Cappuccini" is just
2km beyond San Miniato.
Either from the Pisa Aeroporto train station or from the downtown Pisa Centrale train station: take the train in the direction of Firenze, making sure that it IS the train that makes a stop at Empoli. Get off at Empoli.
From the Firenze airport: first take a taxi or bus to the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station, then take the train in the direction of Pisa making sure that it IS the train that stops at Empoli. Get off at Empoli. All of these trains run frequently and the train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once at the Empoli train station take either a taxi ($15-$20) or the regular bus to San Miniato-Alta. Taxis are available at any time.

Finally, a more expensive alternative is to take a taxi from the Pisa or the Firenze airport
directly to "I Cappuccini" (about $70; can be shared.)
By car:
Take the Pisa-Firenze Superstrada (not the Autostrada), which can be accessed either from the Autostrada A1 at the Firenze
Signa exit, or from the Autostrada A12 at the Pisa Centro exit, and exit the Superstrada at "San Miniato." From there, follow the signs
to San Miniato first, then those to the Hospital (Ospedale), and
finally those to "I Cappuccini."
